Please note, that when your paper is approved and you are preparing its final version, you will be asked to select one of the following publication options:

SUBMIT YOUR CONTRIBUTION USING THE RESPECTIVE TEMPLATE
[1] For submission option 1, please use this ISIJ template in Word for Windows, and submit it via EasyChair. The typical paper is between 8 and 15 pages in the ISIJ format.
[2] For submission option 2, please use this ISIJ template in Word for Windows, and submit it via EasyChair. After its presentation at the conference, provide an, at least 85% amended/different version for publication in the Springer series, following closely the requirements for Springer. Submit it according to the follow-up instructions of the conference organizers, which the leading author(s) will receive by e-mail following the conference.
[3] For submission option 3, please follow closely the requirements and template of Springer. Please use Springer’s Word template, and submit it via EasyChair. The expected volume is between 12 and 15 pages in the Springer format.

We accept for review only original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not currently under review for publication elsewhere.
Manuscripts are checked for plagiarism and reviewed by at least two reviewers for significance and scholarliness. Every effort is made to inform authors within one month following their paper submission whether a paper is accepted, whether it requires revision prior to possible publication, or is rejected.
When a paper is accepted, the authors need to provide a fully formatted version for publication following the journal guidelines (according to the submission option you have chosen) and in a publishable English language. Accepted manuscripts may be further edited for adherence to Journal format and style, clarity, syntax, and punctuation.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the expected paper length for the conference?
The typical paper is between 8 and 15 pages in the ISIJ format, or between 12 and 15 pages in the Springer format. Somewhat longer papers, of about 20 pages, would also be considered for publication.
Do I retain rights over my work?
Authors must sign an exclusive Licence to Publish for their contributions with the respective publisher (depending on which submission option you chose) when an article is accepted for publication. This license might require you to transfer copyright over your work. This means that although you still retain substantial rights, such as self-archiving, and your intellectual property rights, you will not be able to re-publish your work or re-submit it elsewhere.

How is my conference submission reviewed?
All submitted papers will be reviewed by at least three subject matter experts in a double-blind peer-review process.
What happens if I am not able to attend the conference?
If the COVID-19 situation does not permit international travel, or in case a speaker is under quarantine, comes up with flu-like symptoms, or is otherwise not able to attend, the organizing committee must be notified in a timely manner. If possible, the organizing committee will ensure that the author is able to present their paper and participate in the conference online.
If none of the authors of the paper are able to present it at the conference, the paper will not be included in the conference proceedings.
